Where Stick Control lays the foundations, Accents and Rebounds adds accent routines and more advanced rhythms, for greater refinement and control. It works on accented quavers, dotted notes, accented triplets and rebound control. The book also works progressively on controlling the second beat of the roll — the secondary note that makes all the difference to a finished roll. This revised edition includes Joe Morello's arrow notation, which helps the player take on the movements of the Moeller technique. George Lawrence Stone (1886–1967) ran the Stone Drum and Xylophone School in Boston. Joe Morello, Gene Krupa, Lionel Hampton and Vic Firth were among his pupils.
