Wilhelm Tell - Overture, after Gioachino Rossini: an arrangement for percussion ensemble, published in the Hits in Percussion series.
Arranged by Christoph von Bergen. Rossini's best-known overture, arranged for fourteen to fifteen players. Each of the three marimba parts is played by two musicians on a single five-octave instrument, so the piece can be staged without a room full of keyboards. A showpiece for a strong ensemble: ten minutes of music, ending with the gallop everyone knows.
