Marimba Mallets Signature Jean Geoffroy - 05 Medium Hard
The Signature Jean Geoffroy 05 mallets produce a clear, luminous and full sound, with precise definition and sharply drawn articulation.
Their attack remains rounded and deep, with great projection. The feel is dense and responsive, while their excellent response and wide dynamic range allow precision, presence and expressiveness to be retained in many playing contexts.
The dense head gives the sound a full-bodied tone, depth and foundation, while bringing out the fundamental. This model is particularly suited to the classical and contemporary repertoire.
Available with rattan or wooden handles.
"Inseparable from a breath, a gesture, a sound, a phrasing, the mallets are the essential element, of my work as a musician, before the marimba itself... These mallets are more than just simple mallets. They are a suggestion, an invitation to look for again and again a sound in which we find ourself, the one that will enable us to play, "to play with", and then to try to reach our musician’s dreams."

The artist
Jean Geoffroy: International solo percussionist and educator.
"Inseparable from a breath, a gesture, a sound, a phrasing, these mallets are the essential element of my work as a musician, well before the marimba itself... They are far more than mere mallets; they are a sonic proposition, an invitation to search again and again for the sound in which we recognise ourselves, the one that will allow us to play, to make music, and thus to try to move closer to our musicians' dreams." J. Geoffroy
