Timpani Mallets BAROQUE - Felt

The Baroque thin-felt-head timpani mallets were developed for the historical repertoire and playing on animal skin heads. They offer a bright, precise attack with controlled volume, particularly suited to the late 18th-century repertoire.
The very thin felt softens the harshness of the attack while retaining clean articulation. It brings a softer, slightly muffled tonal colour, without losing the precision needed for baroque and classical playing.
Two handles are available to choose from:
- Bamboo: flexible and light to medium in weight, traditionally valued for its comfort, natural rebound and sound development. Livelier under the hand, but also more fragile.
- Maple: rigid, medium in weight and sturdy, for a more direct feel and great playing stability.
