The Signature Gert François "ORCHESTRA 05" timpani mallets were developed for orchestral playing and the professional repertoire. They offer a bright, brilliant and highly legible sound, particularly suited to passages calling for precision, sparkle and presence within the orchestral ensemble.
The felt head, combined with a cork core and wound materials, gives a clean attack while retaining enough roundness to preserve the richness of the tone. This model is particularly suited to repertoire such as Bartók's Concerto for Orchestra.
The bamboo handle, flexible and light, encourages a natural rebound and great finesse of playing. Its diameter of approx. 11 mm, combined with the grip, ensures a comfortable and precise hold.
