Timpani Mallets special Carter - MOTO PERPETUO
These timpani mallets were specially developed for the repertoire of Elliott Carter, and in particular for performing "Moto Perpetuo". They offer a bright, precise and balanced medium sound, suited to passages calling for evenness, mobility and clarity.
Their response encourages fluid, controlled playing, with enough clarity to preserve the definition of each attack without hardening the tone. The bamboo runs right through the head to prevent the mallet from turning over and to limit the risk of it slipping away during play.
The bamboo handle, flexible and light to medium in weight, encourages a natural rebound, great finesse of playing and optimal sound development. A material traditionally valued by timpanists for its comfort and acoustic qualities.
