Biography

Vincent Limouzin is a real Lame doctor, its polyvalency and mind openness make him a renowned musician. Trained at the Paris National Superior Conservatory, he received his prize in percussion in 1983.

Guided by the passion of exchanges and meetings, he extends his action to the contemporary music, the contemporary Métis music, written and improvised . His experience and polyvalency allow him to join the Jazz National Orchestra for six years under successive directions of Claude Barthélémy and Franck Tortiller (Project Close to Heaven...).

As a show creator, he also led regular training and master classes around the improvisation and vibraphone .

He just created Percusound Duet with Alain Huteau electro - acoustic duo on percussion keyboards.

He currently plays with three other formations : The Trio Manura (A.Huteau and P.Biahnnic), the Contemporary Music formation 2E2M (dir P. Méfano) and finally Jasper (F.Creamer, C.Duperray, D.Pouradier-Duteil).

During his career, Vincent Limouzin participated to many projects , from various backgrounds, along with Franck Tortiller Luc Le Masne, Thierry Mineau, N. Rieu , A. Jolivet, T. Faroukh, the bands Terra Nova, Bekummernis, the Steel band Pan in Paname, the Fred Galliano Electronic Sextet or with the Paris Opéra’s Orchestra de Paris ...

These signed mallets of the brand RESTA -JAY look like him... Designed for multi purposes, they are uses from the Vibraphone to the Marimba with great ease, developing a warm and rich sound, modelled on this artist.

Tireless fanatic, he’s the artistic director of many projects ot the label Aurasky Music.
